CalMac Culture Music 2016 is now closed to entrants and winners have been selected following a live final at King Tuts on 31st March 2016.
CalMac Culture has become the first ever winner of the Arts & Business Scotland Creative Business Award. The new award, created for 2015, recognises the growing number of businesses taking the creative lead in establishing and developing cultural project partnerships. Caledonian MacBrayne was named the first recipient of the Business Creativity Award sponsored by Inksters Solicitors for CalMac Culture.
2015 was a great year for CalMac Culture, Music returned and found eight great stars who went on to battle at King Tut's for the chance to play at some of Scotland's best summer festivals. 2015 also welcomed the launch of Screen, a competition that looked for a young film-maker to work with CalMac and 29Studios to create a video featuring the Scottish west coast islands.
In 2016 CalMac Culture is set to broaden the horizons with the introduction of Arts and Gaelic competitions - as well as continue to identify rising stars with Music and Screen.
Why not take a look at the winning performances from CalMac Culture Music or watch the first ever CalMac Culture Screen film by young Michael Westcott from Oban.
