We have recently updated customers with the latest information on the routes we expect to be affected by extensions to annual overhaul and how these will be managed through vessel deployment during the period 26 January - 6 March. You'll find a summary of this information on a route-by-route basis in our latest customer update.
As we move through the period, we'll continue to keep our customers updated on any emerging challenges or changes.
Update 16 January 2024
Further to the details below, timetables for the affected routes will be confirmed throughout this week and updated on our timetable pages for the affected routes (week commencing 15 January).
As always, for the latest information on each route, we encourage customers to check our Service Status and Information pages which carry the very latest information we have available.
For those customers planning travel to Islay, South Uist or Barra during this period
We are currently working through those customer reservations that will be affected. This is being done by our team in date order. If you have a booking for the routes above, during the timescales outlined, our team will be in contact with you to provide information and support.
If you are yet to make a reservation for travel on these routes during the periods listed, our systems are currently being updated with this information. Please be aware that while this is being done, some of the sailings may appear unavailable, temporarily.
Thank you for your patience while we manage this delay and its effect with the vessels we have available to us. As always, our team are focused on minimising the impact on our customers wherever we can.
Update: 12 January 2024
There has been a further delay to the return of MV Isle of Mull from her scheduled annual overhaul period. We have shared the effect this is likely to have on our services below; however, we'll provide a further update to customers, including amended timetable details, from week commencing 15 January.
Services to/from Islay
The two-vessel service planned for this route between 26 January - 2 February will remain a single vessel service, delivered by MV Finlaggan.
Services from/to South Uist and Barra
We are currently exploring options for MV Isle of Lewis to remain in service beyond the date for her own overhaul. If this is possible, we expect MV Hebridean Isles to operate a combined timetable for Lochboisdale and Castlebay.
We will share further details, including amended timetables and communication to affected customers from week commencing 15 January.
