Storm Agnes - Advice and information for our customers
Tuesday 26 September 2023
With the arrival of Storm Agnes expected this week, adverse weather conditions are predicted to affect parts of Scotland, including the west coast.
This deep area of low pressure is set to bring a spell of strong and disruptive winds through Wednesday afternoon into early Thursday. This will affect parts of Scotland, including the west coast. The Met Office has advised that injuries and danger to life from flying debris are possible, as well as some damage to buildings, power cuts and interrupted mobile phone coverage.
Our services
A number of our services may be cancelled or delayed across the network to ensure the safety of customers and colleagues, which is our priority. The storm will cause significant disruption, and we will keep customers updated with the latest information via the service status and information pages, our app and our X (formerly Twitter) page @CalMac_Updates.
Wherever possible, our timetables will be amended to take advantage of suitable weather windows, to reduce the impact on services when it is safe to do. If services are disrupted, we will recover and resume as soon as it is safe to do so and address any backlogs that may have built up.
Planning ahead
