Summer Timetable 2023 - Bookings 16 to 22 October - Update 15 August 2023

We have published information for customers on updates to our timetables as we support the delivery of the annual vessel overhaul plan and the continuing investigations into the issues affecting MV Hebridean Isles. We're also pleased to open bookings for the final week of the summer timetable 16-22 October. Timetables will be released in a phased approach, with the first phase opening on Wednesday 16 August at 2pm. Full details on phasing, routes and details of any changes are available on the latest customer update

MV Hebridean Isles, which normally operates services between Islay-Kennacraig, has now completed extensive sea and berthing trials, however the issues affecting the vessel's manoeuvrability continue and she remains off service.

While MV Hebridean Isles remains out of service, we are extending the planned network support mitigation up to and including 24 August 2023, which we've detailed below.

Please always continue to check our service status pages, our customer updates and our @CalMac_Updates Twitter page which carry the latest information we have on each service.

Islay services

MV Isle of Arran will continue to operate alongside MV Finlaggan on a two-vessel service on Islay, operating to the published timetable.

Arran services

MV Alfred will remain on the Arran service alongside MV Caledonian Isles. MV Alfred will operate three return sailings Friday to Monday and two return sailings Tuesday to Thursday. Please see our timetable for full details here

If you plan to travel to Arran by foot, but have not yet booked travel, we encourage you to do so by booking on board MV Caledonian Isles sailings, where possible.

Campbeltown services

Due to vessel deployment, the service to Campbeltown is cancelled up to and including 24 August 2023.

Colonsay services

Colonsay service will operate as per the normal summer timetable - MV Isle of Arran will operate the same summer timetable as MV Hebridean Isles would have.

To our customers

We are in the process of updating the booking system and customers with affected bookings will be contacted directly by us. We are aware that our lines and channels are very busy now, and we are conscious of wait times - so please be assured you will hear from us.

We are very sorry for the effect this disruption is having on customers and businesses. Our team is continuing to work hard to do whatever we can to minimise disruption to you, with the vessels we have access to.

Please always continue to check our service status pages, our customer updates and our @CalMac_Updates Twitter page which carry the latest information we have on each service.
