Please check our Service Status and Information pages pages for the latest details, and, for more background information, read our customer update.
Check-in is 30 minutes prior to departure for vehicles and 10 minutes for foot passengers - otherwise space will be reallocated. Late check-in may also lead to the vehicle being refused carriage.
Planning ahead - Book your ticket online before in advance of travel - even if you're a foot passenger. When you book online, you will immediately receive an eTicket direct to your email inbox. Each eTicket has a QR code, meaning you'll instantly be ready to board. There's no need to print at home or collect your tickets at the port, eTickets can be scanned from your device.
Travelling with a bike - If you're travelling as a foot passenger and bringing your bike, please add your bike(s) to your booking, - this means that you have more certainty about space. This ticket will remain free of charge. If you're a vehicle passenger, travelling with a bike or roof rack, please add your details when prompted in the booking platform.
Concessions and blue badge holders - SPT Ferry Card, Companion SPT Ferry Card and Blue Badge concessions are now available online, meaning they'll be applied to your ticket. This is an alternative to visiting the port office / speaking with staff. Please continue to carry your concession card or equivalent when you travel.
Campervans/Motorhomes - At the request of Argyll & Bute Council, we have been asked to advise our customers, at time of booking a campervan/motorhome, that they are required to secure a pitch for their vehicle on the island in advance of travelling. Please ensure you have agreed overnight provisions prior to travel to the islands. Find out more about changes that have been made to the motorhomes, campervans and caravans standby process.
