Valid from 03 June - 26 September 2021
Thursday 29 April to no earlier than Thursday 03 June*
Due to a technical issue elsewhere in the network this service will continue to be cancelled to accommodate essential demand elsewhere until no earlier than Thursday 3 June. (*This date is subject to change and we will continue to keep our customers updated throughout.)
The change to this service is in response to a major failure of the port engine with MV Loch Seaforth operating the Ullapool - Stornoway route. As a result of ongoing repairs to the MV Loch Seaforth, investigations to repair the damage to one of the engine bearings have identified further issues to the engine crankshaft which will require attention before the vessel can return to service.
Specialist engineers have advised that the revised projected date of return of 21 May, has now had to be pushed back to 28 May at the earliest.
As a result, we will then reposition our vessels and normal service will be expected to resume no earlier than Thursday 3 June.
We recognise the cancellation of any service can be very challenging for our customers and the communities we serve and apologise for the disruption this will cause.
To stay informed, download our app or follow our Twitter @CalMac Updates so we can provide you with timely updates, with the latest information we have available. Alternatively, you can also sign up to our service status text updates.
Please remember that physical distancing means that our capacity is less than in 'normal' times - Plan ahead and book your ticket before travel - even if you're a foot passenger.
Prior to your journey, familiarise yourself with VisitScotland's #RespectProtectEnjoy guidance and check the arrangements individual islands and locations have for managing the safety of their visitors and communities. For Argyll and Bute, please read through the area's 'Be a great Visitor' guidance.
Check-in is 30 minutes prior to departure for vehicles and 10 minutes for foot passengers - otherwise space will be reallocated. Late check-in may also lead to refusal of carriage.
Food and Drink - The reopening of our food and drink offering is now available on our routes, options will vary depending on the vessel.
Please ensure you take the time to read all our latest travel guidelines and safety information prior to your journey. Customers are reminded to wear a face covering when travelling with us on the ferry, and at our port offices, unless exempt.
An accessible version of this timetable will be available shortly.
