Sgoil Lionacleit Parent Council

Sgoil Lionacleit Parent Council are the parent council for Lionacleit secondary school which serves the islands of Berneray, North Uist, Benbecula, South Uist and Eriskay in the Outer Hebrides.

With support from the CalMac Community Fund the parent council will take a group of S2 and S3 pupils to France for an educational trip. The pupils will participate in a range of challenging activities which will develop their decision making, team building and communication skills at the same time as providing them with an opportunity to be more independent.

This project will provide an opportunity for pupils who are not used to travelling to visit another country and benefit from all the new social and cultural experiences that they will have along the way. We anticipate that the pupils will return with an enhanced level of confidence, independence and lower anxiety when faced with new situations.
