No.480 Campbeltown Unit Sea Cadets Corps
AMOUNT AWARDED: £2,000
The aim of the Sea Cadets is to help young people become responsible adults using a nautical theme and based on the traditions of the Royal Navy. Its core values are self-discipline, integrity, loyalty commitment and honesty.
Why were they chosen?
The provision of challenging courses and the instruction which the cadets receive provides them with a range of practical skills that will equip them with new abilities as they leave the educational system to enter the workplace. The development of confidence in their own abilities and the build-up of their self esteem is an integral part of their growth as is the development of inter-personal skills and an appreciation of the importance of teamwork in a workplace environment.
