Port Ellen Mothers and Toddlers
AMOUNT AWARDED: £1,600
Port Ellen Mothers and Toddlers run various group activities during the week to help develop children's fine motor, gross motor, speech & social skills.
Why were they chosen?
Their project is to give children a taste of different career paths and to spark their imagination. Each of the themes will consist of backdrops, props and dress up items to fully immerse the children in the role to help them engage and attract their imagination and help develop their social and communication skills. This will help them to learn and realise that they can be anything they like and can do anything that they aspire to. The acting and playing will also have the added bonus of helping build confidence and with working together in each of the jobs expand and strengthen their social skills.
