Patchwork
Patchwork is a registered charity and a voluntary sector nursery that has been in operation since 1970s. They provide care, education and learning opportunities to 25 children from our local community, 21% of which live in the 20% most deprived postcode areas in Scotland.
Acro dance sessions, supported by the CalMac Community Fund, assist the children with their physical and gross motor development in a different, fun and engaging way. It builds upon their listening and concentration skills, team work and confidence and overall wellbeing. Many of the children do not access different activities out with nursery so this opportunity would continue that for their current children and those returning the following year.
The project will impact 25 to 50 children and will assist with the building blocks for their physical and emotional development.
